Brainport

Brainport® - a hot spot in the high technology region of south-eastern Netherlands - is the hub of a network of companies, knowledge centres and government spreading beyond national borders to Germany (Aachen) and Belgium (Louvain). It is a unique area with intensive and innovative cooperation between organisations open to new ideas. This is visible in the invention, manufacture and sale of innovative products, services, machines and systems.

This means knowing where you are, supervising initiatives, setting up projects where people and companies can see the purpose and continuous communication about the results. The Brainport Foundation is responsible for implementing the strategic programmes. The director, communication employees, lobbyists and analysts of Brainport are not beginning anew but are building on the path laid by the Horizon Programme. With appealing projects like Metal House, Incubator 3+ and Brainport International Community they are bringing the strength of the Triple Helix in touch with the public. Together we are aiming to go beyond Lisbon!
